Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Complete assessment of each clientInitiate and sustain each individual's motivation to participate in treatmentDevelop a comprehensive service plan for each clientProvide daily treatment and curriculum-based education groupsMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED and 24 credit hours of college education or accredited training program in substance abuse counseling and/or other human services area.
Higher education given preference.
Required certifications or license:
IAODAPCA certification CADC, or above.
LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPCTwo (2) years paid work experience in a substance abuse, correctional, or other human services counseling position.
Must maintain a valid driver's license.
At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
Non-communicable diseases physical exam, drug screen.
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
