Furniture Mover/Delivery Driver

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Furniture Mover and Delivery Driver.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Delivery Driver Position is a hand on driving and warehousing position. This position is idea for a person who likes to be active and prefers a more physical job. Deliveries are basically regional. The successful candidate will be conscientious, safety minded, able to move furniture, able to pack a truck so as to make the most use of the area and to maximally protect the product, capable of making minor furniture touchups, possess great customer service skills, and able to direct temporary labor at delivery and pick up sites when needed. A Class C driver license is required. However a Class A or B license is preferred. There is opportunity to work overtime.
Key functions of this position include:
Pull and stage product for loading.
Make sure furniture is in an acceptable condition for delivery.
Load truck and check items against the manifest.
Inspect truck to ensure safety.
Deliver and set up furniture for trade show or event's start.
Provide customer with friendly and professional service at delivery site.
Pickup furniture at lease end.
Clean and repair furniture to ensure quality product condition.
Protect furniture and place into racks for storage.
Other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
Ability to speak and read English fluently and to provide friendly service to customers.
Must be able to effectively use maps, follow directions and understand street and directional signs.
Must be well organized and able to keep paper work organized.
At least 6 months of related service industry driving and delivery experience (for example: furniture delivery, delivery of large appliances, or party rental experience).
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver license.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
A clean MVR for the last three (3) years.
Ability to pass agility test, pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and DOT physical for DOT Medical Card.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or more up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work overtime and weekends/flexible schedules.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
