The Manager - Data Services plays a key role in our transaction cards business.
This individual will work with our customers to identify their goals and priorities as we onboard new clients, and transform data for production.
Working closely with the IT systems development group, this person will assist in the implementation of new solutions and/or enhancements to current solutions.
Managing departmental metrics to measure overall effectiveness of these programs is a key requirement.
This person will also establish continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies, procedures, SOPs and work instructions.
How you will make an impact:
-Facilitate process and procedures for the Data Services department based on the requirements set forth by the customer and Operations schedules while maintaining a zero-defect mentality.
-Develop and manage troubleshooting methods that provide resolution while ensuring collaboration with all stakeholders.
-Manage all department expense budgets to achieve positive variances and continuous improvements in expense.
Develop and propose capital requirements related to departmental production operations.
-Champion the compliance culture to ensure data management practices (security, integrity, deletion and retention) are consistent with customer, regulatory and company standards.
-Provide subject matter expertise for the systems, methods and practices employed to process, manage, delete, train and report on data during audits and investigations.
-Drive the research and implementation of industry best practices to enhance overall workflow and productivity of the team.
Establish metrics to assess and measure productivity and efficiency of the Data Services team.
-Provide support to customer projects to ensure requirements for data quality and customer data are inherent in the process.
Adhere to the standards, procedures, and work instructions outlined in the WestRock quality system.
-Effectively carry out all managerial role responsibilities including requirements pertaining to performance management, employee development, interdepartmental cooperation and facilitation of work teams.
-Build a capable and effective team by following the WestRock values and behaviors.
Use tools such as the performance reviews, one-one-one coaching sessions and development plans to increase the effectiveness of direct reports and operators.
Create and implement training programs to increase the knowledge and skills of the team.
Establish metrics to measure performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in related field or 7-10 years of equivalent related work experience required.
Transaction cards experience a plus.
3- 5 years of management experience.
Within a technology or manufacturing focused environment preferred Strong math and measurement skills to understand, track, analyze, and report on operating metrics.
Creative and effective problem solving skills Ability to collect and analyze large data sets and to manipulate data into meaningful reports.
Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Advanced proficiency with Excel and other data transformation tools including MSSQL.
Ability to perform well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proven record of fostering teamwork and cross functional collaboration.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
